42

3 continents, 2 transits and 1 delayed flight later, we finally staggered home at midnight today.

After a staggering 42-hour trip that make up of the following:

- 1 hour 45 mins cab ride to Changi (not to mention a cab fare of $49.15, thank you very much)
- 1.5 hour custom clearance at Frankfurt, our first transit
- 8 hour layover at JFK (we couldn't get an earlier flight to Boston, which really takes only 30mins!?)
- an additional 4 hour delay because of a random 'left fuel valve' fault, causing us to sit on the tarmac for almost 2 hours, then disembark because the pilot couldn't resolve the issue, waited for another plane to fly in from Chicago, and boarded again at 10pm, after having arrived at 10am that morning.

And we didn't even fly in from Mars.

Well, at least I now know I have a slight chance should we ever decide to take part in Survivor one day. Or the Amazing Race.
