The weather has been a real drag. And I thought being out of Singapore was a one reason to escape the torturous weather (humidity)!
Its been raining, all day, all week for 7 days straight. It. Just. Doesn't. Stop. Not a day of sunshine or clear blue sky in sight. And its making me cranky. Very cranky. The rain here alternates between these trillions of tiny mist-like micro-droplets going in all directions (so you also get your FACE wet! like those super annoying spray mist machines at coffee shops & hawker centres in Singapore or to make it sound more sophisticated, the Evian Mineral Water Spray. Yea like that, but times 50) and torrential downpour that even the biggest brolly, the thickest raincoat and highest wellies can't save you.
These days, when you look out of the window, heck, you so as to peer thru the curtains, its just one helluva grey, sad, muggy day. Makes you wanna stay in bed all day. And get up only when Summer comes. When is Summer coming? Or I should say, IS Summer ever coming? My worst fear is that there is no Summer! *horror*
Locals say they've not seen anything like this in June. Well, as far as they can remember. June is supposed to be the start of Summer, of BBQ weekends and drunk roof deck parties. It has, historically, been a month of clear, blue! blue! blue! (how many times must I say this!) skies with plenty of sunshine and nice cool breezes. Statistically speaking, the weatherman says we've only experienced THREE days of this in the entire month of June. Poo. Which puts him in an extremely vulnerable position at the moment. All we wanna do is voodoo-doll the weatherman!
Sheeesh. You know I could go on ranting about the weather.
