Eames vs Bertoia

I should probably say that before we finalised the decision of getting the four Eameses for our dining table, our first choice was the Bertoia. Finished in chrome, or power coated in just about any colour you want, the Bertoia is a classic, enduring and versatile chair that can work with any table, or even mixed and matched with other chairs. And that was the initial idea. To get a pair of Bertoias and Eameses each with our classic, raw and untreated teak dining table. Now that I'm looking at pics of the Bertoias again.. I'm thinking of revisiting the original plan. But aesthetics aside, the Bertoia is unfortunately, not as comfortable as the Eames. Plus the Knoll pads come with a hefty price tag that adds to the overall cost. Hmmm. Ponder. Ponder.
